The Awards
The awards are presented annually. There are four categories:
- The Euroscience Stiftung Young Journalists Award
- The Euroscience Stiftung Lifetime Journalism Award
- The Johnson and Johnson Award for R&D/Science TV journalism
- The AlphaGalileo Award for Research Public Relations
The closing date for the competitive awards - television and public relations - is 31 March 2010.

Applications for the TV and media relations awards must be made via this web site.
Awards will be worth €5,000 each apart from the Young Journalist category where the sponsors reserve the right to award one award of €5,000 or two awards of €2,500.
Additional sponsors of new or existing awards will be welcome in future years.

Euroscience Stiftung
The Euroscience Foundation was founded in 2000 as a foundation under German civil law; it has its offices in Hanover, Germany. Its purpose is the advancement of European science and culture. It awards prizes such as the European Science Writers Award and supports workshops and symposia. The Euroscience Foundation is linked to the Euroscience Association in Strasbourg, a pan-European association for the advancement of European science for which the foundation collects money. The Euroscience Association was founded 1997 by engaged European scientists to support as an open forum European research and technology policy and to strengthen the link between science and society.
